Gender Ultrasound

No new "real" news about little bean but my nausea is starting to lift and I am not as exhausted as I had been. I can't help myself from taking a nap right along with Addison but I am also using that time to get little things done around the house :)
This early in pregnancy is always hard, I only see the Dr every 4 weeks and cant yet feel the baby move so I always fret that something is wrong! With Addison I rented a fetal heart monitor that let me listen to her little heartbeat whenever I wanted. I told Alex that with this pregnancy I would be more confident and comfortable with everything. Well I was wrong. I broke down last night and ordered a fetal monitor from the same place I did last time. It should arrive late this week or early next week and I can't wait! I'll probably use it every day until I start feeling baby move :) It's hard to imagine how women managed years ago before ultrasounds and heart monitors! I would have gone crazy!
On April 11, one week from this Sunday, we are going to an elective 3D ultrasound clinic to get a peek at baby and if he/she is cooperating, find out the sex! I will be 15 1/2 weeks then and they said it should be pretty easy to tell one way or the other! I am getting excited but I think Alex is a little nervous, he's really pulling for a boy. If it's a girl he may be in shock for a few days :) Either way, the thought of having a new little one here in 6 short months is amazing to think about!

Heartbeat

Today was my routine OB appointment and everything went great! I was scheduled to go in next Tuesday but because of my constant paranoia that something is wrong with the baby, I rescheduled to today. I know I'm worrying for nothing and I am doing everything I can to make a healthy little home for baby but I still worry just like any mother does :)
So far I have gained about 3-4 pounds but it seems like more! My clothes still fit but aren't quite as comfortable as they once were boohoo! The Dr. listened for babies heartbeat and found it right away! It was beating at 157 times a minute, quite a bit lower than the 180 four weeks ago but the Dr said its perfectly normal to have a high heart rate in the beginning and for it to slow down around this time. We were in and out in about 25 minutes, it was awesome!
Thank you to everyone for your support and excitement about baby #2, it is still hard to believe! At 15 weeks (2.5 weeks from now) I am going to have an elective 3D ultrasound and if baby is cooperating we should know the sex! Fingers crossed for a boy! We will spill the beans as soon as we find out! Love you all!
